Outward Bound – School Website Information

Year 9 students at Muswellbrook High School have the opportunity each year to participate in the Outward Bound Hunter Region Community Program. The program aims to challenge students through their involvement in seven days of bush-craft skills such as navigation, choosing and setting up a campsite, food and fire preparation as well as participating in challenging activities such as a high ropes course, abseiling and canoeing. Upon completion of the course students are able to demonstrate positive relationships with peers, improved self-awareness and resilience as well as being able to demonstrate greater initiative and responsibility.

In 2012 the program will be conducted from Saturday 2nd June to Friday 8th June in the Tweed Valley of NSW. All Year 9 students at Muswellbrook High School are eligible to apply for a part-scholarship to attend the program. Information and application forms will be provided to students at the end of March, with all applications due by Thursday 12^th April. For more information, please visit the Outward Bound
